Just been given a book, 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' by John Irving
I've put it on my ever increasing TBR pile.
My question is, having never read anything by Irving before should i read it sooner rather than later. :confused: in other words is it any good ?
I find i'm buying more and more new books online rather than going to a highstreet bookshop.

I was wondering roughly how many books in a year you all read. I try to set myself a target of 52 (one a week) i'm not a fast reader so most of the time it's around the 50 mark. I have read more 70ish (short easy 200 page reads always bumps it up)

Before reading a word the very first thing i do is ALWAYS check how many pages long the book is (superstition)
