    Jack Kerouac

    Surprised nobody's mentioned 'Lonesome Traveller' yet. Anyone that hasn't read it should check it out. 'Even Cowgirls Get the Blues' always struck a Kerouac-esque nerve with me. An oft underrated book in my opinion that has the ability to stagger you with its occasional brilliance.

    Hitcher's Guide to the Galaxy -how does the film compare?

    If you're anything like me - you'll be both!! Loved some of the new touches - the opening credits really got it off to an excellent and amusing start - and thought the casting was actually pretty good (at least, I didn't spend the whole film thinking "you're not the real people!" to myself)...

    Thanks K. Really don't have much more info. Aimed at an adult audience. Think the author is American. I'm resident in the UK. Think the title may have begun with an H or an M - but not sure! Clutching at straws a little, I feel! :)
