Shoes??? I have never even thought about looking at people's shoes to get a glimpse of their character...LOL...
I think that people do tend to make assumptions about others based on what they do for a living. I find this happening even within a profession...for example, I am a Licensed...
It's been more than a few years since I was in school, but I seem to remember that those kids who liked to read in the first place did not grumble nearly as much about required reading. Those who didn't enjoy reading anything grumbled constantly.
I can't ever remember not liking to read and...
LOL, yeah, I think I would have that problem as well if I actually tried to keep track of what book I was currently reading. On average I can read a book every 2 days, sometimes a book a day, sometimes more if we have nasty weather!!!
And the Jurassic Park sequels were even worse!!!! This is a case where they took a wonderful adult book and turned it into a PG-13 movie based on awesome special effects. Actually, I enjoyed all the movies as they were fun and great mindless entertainment...BUT they sure had nothing to do with...
This is a cute thread...
I really have 2 usernames...Dakota Dreams and SMTFlyball...I use the first for everything general...the second for anything 'dog' related.
Dakota Dreams came about when I moved to North Dakota. I was born and raised a city girl in Milwaukee, WI and I hated it. One...

"Haunted" by Kelley Armstrong
This is the 5th book in her Women of the Otherworld series and it was a good read. I was prepared not to like it, since the main character is in past books and is not depicted as being very 'like-able', but it does change your perception of the...

Current Reading
Am currently reading "The Awakening" by L.A. Banks. This is the 2nd book in the Vampire Huntress Legend series and I have to say that Banks has done a great job of creating a new mythos.
"Minion" is the first in the series and I enjoyed it very much. I see shades of Blade...

Thanks for the welcomes...LOL...and you guys slay me, really you do!!
Despite the preference for fangs, there are no coffins here and no other vampire paraphernalia. The only real fangs on the place are canine...lol...but I do love the genre when it comes to whiling...
Harry the Wizard
I just finished reading "Death Masks" and enjoyed every minute of it. I was introduced to the Harry Dresden series when a friend gave me "Summer Knight" for Christmas. I tried reading it but just couldn't get into it because there was too much I didn't know. So I hunted...
