    I just finished reading...

I just finished... Shaman's Crossing by Robin Hobb. I found the potential of the trilogy to be interesting and I can't wait to read what Hobb has install for us next. I liked the new world she has created, the Academy and the Forest. I liked the restrictions she has created for the...

    Robin Hobb's 'Liveship Traders'

OMG if you loved Liveship then you're in for a ride with Farseer and Tawny Man!!!! :D  Ahem. The typical Hobb fan loves Fitz and Fool's story (Farseer/TM) more than Liveship. So if you're like me who loves them all... ah well, we're the lucky ones. ;) : x...

    Robin Hobb's 'Liveship Traders'

It's good to read things in order just for the thrill of guessing games and spotting clues and also for the amazement of how Hobb plants things here and there! But yes you can read Liveship first before Farseer. But definitely read Farseer before Tawny Man. They all link up though, so it's all...

Rate the new Potter book here

HBP was great but for me OotP was better. rating best to worst: 5, 3, 4, 6, 1, 2 Didn't care too much about Riddle even though there were some ANSWERS information there. I could understand now why she decided to cut it out of the second book. And other things about 6 bothered me...

thanks for the review. I did not read all of it, just the beginning and end and skimmed through the middle to avoid spoilers, but from what I've read, it seems a promising story. Thanks for your pov!

The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb

I think you may be right with that, though I couldn't blame them. Luckily for me, I loved Liveships straight away and didn't care whether it was in the same world or not. I truly liked it as a stand alone. It's so rich in everything, colour, spice, the sea...! The fact that it...

The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb

As I've said before, I'm practically new to fantasy and I found all this very informative. thanks! So if I were to look for more fantasy books to read, similar to Hobb's style ie. subtle magic/character development, which authors would you recommend? (perhaps I should start a new thread..)...

The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb

Hi, my first post here and was immediately drawn to this Hobb thread :) I can understand those who thought the Farseer trilogy went on a bit ie. whining, brooding, etc. But to me they just added to the story and the 3-dimensionality of the MC. Fitz is so believable to me and when he whines or...
