When I'm looking for books to read I just browse at Amazon.com reading the summary and reviews for books.

I buy all my books off Amazon.com. And usually used, I've gotten some good deals on many used books(and sometimes they're even hardcover) for under a dollar so with shipping that's a book for $4. I'd go to the library but I'm too anti-social to be making frequent trips all the way down there.
I remember reading a review of this book in Time magazine. It takes place from the perspective of intellectuals during the fall of the Roman Empire and the Nazi occupation of France. And the periods had a parchment or something like that linking them. The theme of the book obviously is...
