    Cyberpunk

Yeah sterling wrote the hacker crackdown. His fiction is great, difference engine was fantastic. Try his stuff. Cory doctorow is good also and Neal Stephenson.

    Apocalypto

I thought it was a pretty good film, I enjoyed it more than The passion.

    Your Personal Library

[/IMG] Here are my books which are throughout the house. I have a headboard/bookshelf. Then a bookshelf my father made in his woodshop class back in highschool some years ago. And finally the reading room in all its glory. My favorite chair in their, a nice lazy boy recliner. Thats all real...

    Manga question

Well the answer has already been given but I find it surprising this is your biggest complaint usually people new to manga are most surprised by the way in which you read them, which is the opposite of how things are done normally here in the states. I love manga and don't mind the lack of color...

Do you have a newspaper subscription?

The idaho statesman, the biggest local paper and the only one published for my city. We also have two free local weekly magazines though which I always pickup. And a spanish newspaper I read at the shops

J.R.R. Tolkien: The Children Of Hurin

I thought it was an excellent book. A bit short but a good read

Haven't picked these up but having become a fan of the Tv Series I intend to.

    Poe or Lovecraft?

Poe and king are overrated. Lovecraft is the master of horror! I absolutely love his work, I can read his stories over and over. And he's been such an inspiration for other writers like king etc and of course horror films

Haruki Murakami: Kafka On The Shore

Love murakami! Kafka was my introduction to his work and I believe it to be his best. One of my all time favorites! HIs short stories and his latest novel, after dark, are also quite good.

Susanna Clarke: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

I bought this when it first came out and I still haven't started the damn thing.

    Cormac McCarthy: The Road

I've never read any of Cormac's work until this book but if his other books are this good then I will have to read the rest. Great book.

    Christopher Paolini

I think he's done a pretty good job with the trilogy thus far though the movie was garbage. He's not JK Rowling and he's not a great writer really, whats "special"about him is his age and I think his education

    J.R.R. Tolkien

I read and enjoyed The hobbit and LOTR but couldn't finish my old 1970s copy of the silmarilon. However I did finish the children of hurin which I thought was quite good

I read whenever I get the chance but late night is best-nice and quiet! Sleepy/rainy afternoons can be great to, read awhile and take a nap!

What do you use as a bookmark?

I've bought bookmarks before it certainly adds to the reading pleasure though they do cost money and I tend to loose them. Currently I'm using one given to me at a bookstore (love when they do that!) its from: the cloud and leaf bookstore in manzanita oregon.

    Good place to buy books?

I like BN though they are pricey (especially without a membership) but the stores are quite nice, they carry most things and delivery is very speedy and well packed. Amazon is nice but never seems as fast as BN and of course they don't have any stores. I love to browse small shops though...
