Disgraced British author Jeffery Archer is releasing a controversial book about his time in prison. Archer, a well known British novelist was jailed for four years in July 2001, after being found guilty of perjury and perverting the course of justice.
The book is quickly generating a lot of controversy. It is said to be a highly critical indictment of the British penal system and reveals the startly fact the he contemplated suicide.
Director general of the Prison Service, Martin Narey, says he is now "taking legal advice" to determine whether the jailed peer has done anything wrong.
