I am after some information about a book called As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me by Josef M. Bauer.
I know it is a true story about a German soldier's escape from a Siberian prison camp following World War II, and his struggle for survival during an 8000-mile journey to freedom across some of the most treacherous and inhospitable conditions on earth.
But I believe he is befriended by a dog or a wolf on his way, but can't seem to find this information in any reviews of it. I need this piece of information to be in the book, because then I will know it is the book I am after. I was told about it by a friend, but he mentioned a dog or wolf too
