Lord, how I hate bad remakes. I'm not crazy about remakes in general, but I've seen a few that were decent.
Now what brings this is all to mind is the viewing of Swept Away with Madonna as the female lead. I love Guy Ritchie films, and I love the original Swept Away (Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'agosto) with Giancarlo Giannini and I think it was a great idea to put his ultra-hot son Adriano in it, however Mr. Ritchie made a horrible decision by casting his hag-trash wife for the film. She was horrible and made the viewing experience barely bearable. The only positive part of the film was Adriano Giannini (yumee!).
