I apologize if there's already a thread out there for her, but I didn't see one so I'm posting anyway...
Has anyone read any Barbara Delinsky books? I just picked up Suddenly, which is supposed to be gripping right from the get-go, but I'm already having second thoughts at 40 pages in because of the dialogue. Granted, I haven't given it a fair chance yet, but so far every bit of dialogue seems unnatural, stiff, preachy, and just plain bad. Has anyone else had this impression? I'll keep reading the book, no doubt, but I certainly won't recommend it to anyone unless it gets a lot better.
