Bernard Cornwell: The Last Kingdom

This is Bernard Cornwell's latest book, which should be published in October 2004. It follows the story of an English boy whom is orphaned at the age of ten and adopted by a Dane, who teaches him the ways of the Vikings. His fate is intertwined with Alfred, King of Wessex, the ruler of the last English kingdom.
