Fun and very readable oral history of the first decade of MTV's existence. From who came up with the idea, to where those first video's came from, to the arrival of The Real World. Billy Squier's career suicide video for Rock Me Tonite gets its own chapter. I had no idea that David Fincher and Michael Bay both worked for the same video production company which made them rivals somewhat for most of their lives.

I actually remember the early years when they actually played music. Some of the "original" DJs now work for the 80's channel on SIRIUS. The Real World was something else, I'll never forget about Puck and Pedro. What a combination those guys were.:lol: I'll have to keep this one in my mind's eye. As for me, I have four more books to read, oh the BTR pile never ebbs, it only flows.
