Crichton's Historical Fiction

I recently read Pirate Latitudes and I was a wonderful read that was also very educational, as all of Michael Crichton's books are. Anyone else read this recently? I know that Mr. Crichton (R.I.P.) isn't traditionally known as a historical fiction author, but The Great Train Robbery and Eaters of the Dead/The 13th Warrior are also excellent, in my opinion. I definitely recommend all three of these works.
