A short story for young readers who like fairies but who understand that when reality kicks in life can be pretty difficult no matter how pretty or clever you are.
Even Fairies have bad days and Fairy Goodenough had experienced quite a few very bad days lately. She knew deep down what the problem was. The kind of problem which had caused her to change appearance, from a pretty, sparkly sprite, into a tattered, physically different creature altogether. The trouble was, the solution meant that she needed to make changes in the Real World, real changes before anything good happened to her. The changes were about how people treated each other, respected their differences and that was never going to be easy.
