Faith Hunter: Bloodring

Ok, there's this book out there with a really nice looking cover. I've checked Amazon for Faith Hunter's Bloodring, and the consensus is generally good.

I'm determined not so spend anymore on books, so this is all just hypothetical, you understand.

Has anyone checked out Faith Hunter? Any good?
