Forgotten Book Title...

[Paradox]

My girlfriend has read a book as a child that she cannot rememeber the title to... I was wondering if anybody here knew the title of it.

It's about some girl who goes into the attic in her house and reads a book that she finds. The book is about somebody who is tortured by this old lady... The reader thought the house on the book cover looked like the real house next door to hers...so she went over there and then she became the tortured girl and had to find a way out.

If anybody knows what book I'm talking about, I'd greatly appreciate your reply.

I remember reading this book as well. I did a quick search and came up with the possibility of "The Dollhouse Murders" by Betty Wright.....I hope thats the one you're looking for.
