Has anyone here tried pre-kindergarten homeschool programs?
I’ve been experimenting a bit with my 4-year-old at home, and it’s been fun but also kind of challenging. I’m not looking to replace school entirely, but I do like the idea of giving her a little structure before she heads into kindergarten. We’ve been doing simple stuff like letter tracing, story time, and some hands-on games, but I sometimes wonder if I’m doing too much or not enough.
I came across Creative Labs Center while looking for ideas, and it made me realize how many different approaches there are some parents go super structured, others just weave learning into everyday life. Honestly, my kid seems to learn more when we’re baking together or building with blocks than when I try to sit her down with worksheets.
For those of you who’ve done pre-k style homeschool, what worked best for you? Did you stick to a set “program” or just keep it casual? Would love to hear what helped your kids transition smoothly into kindergarten.
