Gotta Good Review

Yippee! :D I got a review this morning for my ebook Nitesh. You can read it at the following URL: http://www.fictionfactor.com/reviews/nitesh.html

I just wanted to share. It's sorta my comeback novel. I withdrew all of my books, and am now only starting to release them yet again. I don't think that I'll do print though. I'm going to experiment with the ebook medium first.

That's not a good review Jenna, that's a GREAT review. Congratulations!!
I do wish you'd print in hardback though. Sorry, just picky that way.

Thanks everyone! Hey, you serious book readers should really start checking out ebooks. No more sagging book shelves. Think how many books you can burn onto one little CD. Think how many CDs you can put on one little shelf. Think how many books you can buy for $3! And for those who ride the trains, and you know who you are, think how many books you can carry on a Palm or an ebook reader, without the weight! I have an Ebookman, and I can put about 12 (maybe more, haven't tried) books on it. And it fits in a pocket. If I get tired of one book, I can easily switch to another. And I've heard from several people who get carsick while reading, that they can read on their handhelds without any motion sickness whatsoever. I haven't tried that either, but I'm going to! Course, reading and driving at the same time can be tricky, what with the coffee cup and the cell phone...

I understand where you're coming from Jenna and I hope you get a zillion thousand (+1) readers but there's just no way a machine will replace the feeling I get when kicking back with a hardback.
Please explain to this ignorant one the difficulity you have in puting the book in print. Is it finding a willing publisher? (and I don't know how it can be after reviews like that) Money out of pocket? Too time consuming? Or just an overall pain in the rosey cheeks? I'd really like to know.

Thanks,
RaVeN

I've been in print - trade paperback. My publisher would put this into trade paperback as well. But I'm an electronic author. I sorta feel like it would be contradictory to expouse the benefits of electronic books, and then go into print. I would never pay to be in print, BTW. I don't do vanity print. And, yes, it's a pain in the katoosh actually. There is one big supplier of books to bookstores - Ingrams. If you're not with Ingrams you're not in the bookstores unless you can convince them to stock your book. Maybe I could, maybe I couldn't. I haven't tried. I don't like the games they play. I don't like the games NY plays. I want to write what I want to write. I don't want to fit into what NY tells me to write. I have seen brilliant writing reduced to shambles by trying to conform to what NY perceives the reading public wants. NY is so far from the pulse of readers it isn't even funny. Anyway, I digress. For now, I am going to see what sort of things happen when I go the ebook route. Who knows, I might change my mind and go print. Don't know.

Good for you, for sticking to your principles, and for not bowing down to commercialism. I salute you, honestly!
