Help! Is this plot familiar to anyone?

Years ago I read a fiction novel about a spy/assasin who had been imprisoned for many years as a young man in a small prison cell in Japan. As a result, He developed the ability to sense the approach of enemies. He could also sense whenever someone was visually focusing on him. Therefore, no one could ever take a clear photograph of him. Sensing the focus he would move at the last second and blur the photograph. This also meant he could not be shot by a long range sniper. This man was extremely dangerous and also had some kind of tantric sexual skills. Has anyone ever read or heard of this book? I need title and author.
