Years ago I read a book about a town that was being controlled by a dragon and the town people had to regularly sacrifice their daughters to this dragon. Well along comes this knight who frees the town from the dragon and takes over the control of the town. However it turns out they swapped one form of totalitarian leadership for another. I dont remember how it ends or the title but if anyone can help with the title I would appreciate it.
