This will only work for the US residents, but Wolf received the following request for books to be sent to the soldiers in Iraq:

An AIG employee recently passed along an e-mail from his daughter, a U.S. Army doctor stationed in Tikrit. In her message, she asked for reading
material that she could share with her fellow soldiers. While demand is
high, the availability of recreational reading material is generally
limited to whatever family members can manage to send.

We share this story with AIG employees should any of you desire to
contribute reading material to the troops stationed in Iraq. Any kind of
book or magazine, new or used, is sought and would be greatly appreciated.
Dr. Jennifer Mbuthia has offered to coordinate this effort for AIG
employees. Those who wish can send packages directly to her for the
remainder of 2004 at:

Aid Station
c/o Jennifer Mbuthia
E Co., 701st MSB
OIF II, FOB Speicher
APO, AE 09392

Please note that the length, width and girth of packages should not be more
than 108 inches. Practically all boxes sold at the post office meet this
requirement. U.S. Customs forms (available in the post office) will need
to be completed for each shipment. Use PS Form 2976 for packages under
four pounds, and PS Form 2976-A for packages over four pounds. These items
must be shipped through the post office. Rates for shipment to a military
"APO" address are the same as for domestic mail delivery.

It's a good idea. My personal opinion is that they should be leaving the country rather than settling down with books but it doesn't look like that will happen very soon.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the politicians that got them there, but you gotta pity people without sufficient reading material.
