How many books have you read in 2005?

Rex said:
I have read about 75 to 100 books so far this year. I do not keep an exact count. It is not unusual for me to finish one book per day on my days off.

I think the local library dreads it when I walk through the door. I cost them a lot of money for interlibrary loans.

 <<< example of local librarian

75-100? wow..

the public library in my old town didn't like me. well, i didn't like them either. :p to fucking loud and gossipy and they'd take out the popular books out for themselves/familes. they weren't to good at their job either. once they put a book my sister checked in away, and they didn't check it in on the comp and they kept increasing the fine she didn't deserve.
when i was younger i'd take out around 20 books. the librarian always gave me a weird look for it. when i was older i came there daily for a while and sat on the computers most of the time (mine was broken) and i still took out at least 10 books. (i tried to make 10 my limit :p ) i actually never returned a book 3 years ago. i never read it either. they sent me two letters and i'm guessing the final fine will be 40-50 dollars. i just stopped going there. i knew i was gonna move and i didn't even think about paying them just to spite them.

these are the ones i can think off of the top of my head

1. catcher in the rye
2. to kill a mockingbird
3. the jungle
4. a farewell to arms
5. the great gatsby
6. the perks of being a wallflower
7. virgin suicides
8. all my sons (well, its a play..)
9. girl, interrupted
10. who killed kurt cobain?
11. the bell jar
12. the stranger
13. white oleander
14. high fidelity (almost done reading it)

there's got to be more..

So, it makes "only" 22 books thus fur.. I've been damn busy with my studies recently. Most of these books I've read in Finnish but many in English, too, and one in Swedish. Seven books of these were read for the second or third time so only 15 new books this year.
