I just read through all nine pages of this thread. Thanks to you all for reminding me why I'm glad I don't trust the media anymore! To expect any news source to be free of bias is foolish. Just like we have to check all those dumb emails about 'Obama being a closet Muslim', we have the responsibility to double check what our favorite news source reports. Gone are the days when "If it's in the Sun, it must be true." Every person on the planet has their own personal bias and worldview. We're all readers here, we know how writers use their craft to speak the truth as they understand it. Why should we expect news people to somehow be immune to this human trait? I think forums such as this one help us by exposing various schools of thought and helping us see other's points of view, hopefully without too much virtual bloodshed.

I was just talking to some Koreans. I do not speak Korean, so what they were saying made no sense to me and sounded like gibberish. This is what gave me the idea to talk with you people on forum. lol.

Now I see that the dude phenomena has spread. Is it possible there is some form of obsessive compulsive disorder in which people who suffer from this cannot communicate without saying "dude"? Maybe this is now the custom in the west. In which case I am glad I left, and will never return.

What complicates this further is there is a forum member called dude. But now no doubt the brilliant amateur detectives on forum will no doubt deduce that not only am I also Falcon, but I am in fact really dude.

I myself have joined in on this and I have figured out that zolipara is really also Polly Parrot and should be called Zoliparrot. Probably this indicates confusion regarding not only internet identity but also sexual orientation.

Then there is also the case of the alcoholics: beer good, naturally, and also others in this particular discussion who have stated they are in urgent need of a drink. Perhaps they are all also the same person. Since I have already figured beer good and hugh are same person, then apparently there are actually only about 3 members of this forum.

I must send a PM to Chiang Mai Falcon and request a meeting. But what if I meet him and he really is me. Aieeee! Despite my statement about the alcoholics, I am in fact actually a recovering alcoholic. However if I find out my other personality is Falcon, perhaps this me is not alcoholic. In that case, maybe I will meet up for a drink with beerhughzoliparrotlibra.

I really admire the liberal confidence in its own attitudes.

Just as I admire some Americans' ability to reduce everything in the world to a dichotomy of conservatives vs liberals, where everything is just a point of view. :flowers:

I would like to apologize for my last post in this thread, though - not necessarily for its sentiment, but for the flip way it was made. (And also because the proper popcultural reference should have been Homer Simpson and not Tom Waits.)
Walter Cronkite: I can't believe it. They're... dancing on the Berlin Wall.
Homer: BOOOOORING! *changes channel*
And as usual, abecedarian is the voice of reason.

Indeed. I can confirm that me and Polly Parrot spend so much time *cough* joined at the hip *cough* that its impossible to separate one from the other. Sometimes I could use a break, but its hard to say no to Polly. Sometimes I even turn into LibraZoliParrot. Its exhausting.

I can be very persuasive.

I didn't think JimDude would be smart enough to figure us out.

Then how am I to learn? How do dude people begin talking to a woman? They always start sentence with Dude, when talking to a man. So what about when they are talking to a woman? Or is my theory correct that dude people do not talk to women at all?
I also believe that dude people are responsible for the strange phenomena of "my bad".
My bad what? Or are they trying to say that they are bad? These same people may also be responsible for "not", and "yathink"?
