Anyone recognize this story?
A girl's family has moved into a house that has a hidden tunnel under it that was part of the "underground railroad." That was the system that slaves in the south United States went through to get to the northern free states. I remember something about her falling down into this tunnel, and I think that the trapdoor to this tunnel was triggered by pressing the doorbell.
I read this story in the third grade (or so) and the condensed version of this book was in our English book. At the end of the story was a little paragraph that said you could read the full book if you wanted to read more of the girl's adventures.
