Music - redux

So what's everyone listening to while on the computer?

I'm currently listening to Radiohead - their Glastonbury concert from last summer.

Other recent favourites: Coldplay; Jack Johnson; Yo Yo Ma

And my old standby: the soundtrack from Boys On the Side

Ell :)

Let's see:
*Joan Osborne's How Sweet it is
*Sherrie Austin's Streets of Heaven
*LOTR soundtracks
*The smoothjazz internet radio station

Bebel Gilberto - Tanto Tempo at the mo, and recently it would be Antonio Jobim and Paolo Conte. It must be my age. I've grown up all easy listening. :(

Maybe I'll grow back into my NOFX.

All kinds of stuff, really, varying from Coldplay, to Bruce Springsteen, to Gary Jules, to Starsailor, etc . . .

Nice new avatar, by the way, Ell!

Cheers, Martin :D

Beautiful South
Counting Crows
Lostprophets
Garth Brooks
Alan Jackson
Tom Petty
The Kinks
[spunge]
Beethoven
Mozart
John Zorn

My musical taste is a tad expansive.

Right now, I've got my winamp on. I usually end up listening to Japan-A-Radio(sometimes radio rivendell for fantasy music) or a playlist of David Arkenstone, Hikaru Utada, SMAP, Ayumi Hamasaki, and anime soundtracks. *sigh* I know next to nothing about most of the music people listen to in my own country, but that's okay, I prefer Megumi Hayashibara over most anything on the radio here.

At the mo, I'm having a listen to the recently blacklisted 'Grey album' towards which the music industry's exercising a zero tolerance policy at the mo (just to see what the fuss is about- I'm not into hip hop). It's not bad though

On looking at the tracks I've got playing just now:

  • Sigur Ros
  • Serge Gainsbourg
  • Francoiz Breut
  • Francoise Hardy
  • Norah Jones
  • Katie Melua
  • Laibach
  • Dead Can Dance
  • Counting Crows
  • Nine Inch Nails
  • Placebo
  • Rammstein
  • Roy Orbison

Are The Exploited still going? Or are you just listening to old stuff? I always remember seeing their huge mohicans from the eighties/nineties.

Music? You guys can listen to music while you're on the computer? Wow. My brain does one thing at a time these days. Wow....

Right now (and I do mean right now) I'm tremendously enjoying Joss Stone. Fantastic voice!

Cheers, Martin :D

I think they're still going (Not sure they're still releasing albums, but there were definitely some gigs in 2003), but I am listening to old stuff, yes.

I'm surprised bobbyburns doesn't seem to like Sonic Youth... It would definitely fit into that list, you know.
