The Reviews Library
Today our new reviews library launches. Most of the current reviews have been moved across, and over the next few days we will be closing down the current temporary reviews forum.
The concept is that of a virtual library. You may browse by category or by author. To review a book it must be in the library. We have started to add books and authors, but with your help we can add many more. To suggest a new book, author or category select the appropriate links on the library homepage.
You can also search for reviews by a particuar member by entering their username.
If you find a book that you like, there will be a link for you to be able to purchase it at an online bookstore such as Amazon. These online stores are often considerably cheaper than local highstreet shops. Where possible, we will try to post links to the publisher's/author's websites where you may be able to read excerpts.
Reviewing Books
Each book may be reviewed more than once, but each member can only review that book once. The books are rated on a scale of one to five, and compared to similar books in their category.
To review a book you will need your username and password. We are working to try to have the library automatically recognise you as the forums currently do. There is no need to re-register, as if you are a member of the forums, you are automatically a member of the whole site, including the library and directory.
If the book you wish to review is not in the libray, please do suggest it to us. We aim to approve the suggestions as soon as possible.
As with all new projects, there may be teething troubles. Please let us know so that we can try to rectify them. If you think of any new featuers then we want to know. It may not be possible to add them, but we can try!
