I read it this week and i don't think it was boring at all but the tone was maybe a bit flat. I didn't find a lot of emotion in the narration but I think that was part of the story. He went through so much, and he even dwelled on how certain things should of caused him more pain, how he should have felt something but didn't, the shock, the pain, the terror of the situation were too much.
