I recently got into playing Nirvana's stuff on the guitar and I'm amazed by how simple, yet how brillant, most of their guitar riffs are. I also was struck by the fact that most of the lyrics don't really make a lot of sense (some of the songs, anyhow) and I did some reading on the net about it, discovering that Kurt Cobain apparently thought that lyrics were the least important part of a song and that he wrote many of the lyrics literally minutes before they scheduled to be recorded. Anyway, that's my discovery of the day!
