I know I'm probably the only person close enough to visit RISD, but this is worth posting about either way. Plus, there is a cool slideshow on the webpage.
The Rhode Island School of Design is currently hosting an exhibit featuring illustrations by Clement, Edith and Thacher Hurd. The Hurd family has illustrated hundreds of children's books including Goodnight Moon, Art Dog, Mama Don't Allow and The Runaway Bunny. The highlights include full sized 3D displays of scenes from Good Night Moon and a full sized "Brushmobile" (from Art Dog) that children can climb into. This is the show's final stop and it closes on July 23.
