For Alix, hunting the strange creatures that live in the shadows of Midwest America is a normal part of life. He doesn't view them as anything other then expendable - but when one of them hints at knowing how to change his past, Alix decides to not kill him. According to this living shadow, there's a being called The Storyteller, who can read anyone's life like a book and change any part of it, as simple as writing new words on a page. But these creatures can't be trusted and this one is probably only telling stories to save his life... still Alix is willing to take that chance, if it means he can change the things he's lost.
