Songs for falling in love

Romance seems to be in the air on this forum, so for my very first thread:

What are the songs you fell in love to? What song is always going to bring that someone special to mind (whether or not you lived happily ever after)?

Mine is "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars" -- the Sinatra/Jobim version:

"I who was lost and lonely
believing life was only
a bitter, tragic joke have found in you
the meaning of existence
oh my love"

There's that wa-wa bit in there... It reminds me of the Willem Tell theme. That show from a couple of years ago, remember?

Maybe I'm alone on this though.

No! The voices quite agree with me.

Is it sad that I can't even think of a love song right now?

Moondance - Michael Bublé
:D

Among about a billion others I always think of that one first, but there are a lot for me, almost every Sinatra song, a lot of Billy Joel songs and a lot, a lot, of country music songs.

Lies, I thought we'd agreed to keep a lid on that?

Kidding!

Carry on with your thread.

Cheers

A couple of mine are:
I Cover the Waterfront - Billie Holliday
Blue Skies - The Allman Brothers
Angel Flies from Montgomery - Bonnie Raitt

I'm glad you asked, Irene. It was all I could do to restrain myself from questioning the Michael Buble version of Moondance. Admittedly, Van's version is overplayed, but jeepers Jenny! Anyway, I much prefer Into the Mystic for Van-inspired romance.
