Still ploughing through it and finding it overlong and unnecessarily intricate.
The story could have been told in half the time.
Does anyone agree/disagree?

Finally finished it and it was so overlong I did not mind what happened to the main characters. They were pretty two dimensional anyway. I am unlikely to read any more works by this author.

I enjoyed both Time and Space. Baxter isn't one of those who makes up some future tech concept and leaves it unexplained, and I agree it can sometimes be a bit much.

I didn't enjoy the 3rd book in the Manifold series though (Origin). There is only so much 'caveman bodily functions' I can take.

I love this book & this author. I went through a long period of only reading him. I love hard scifi, and he knows so much about pysics that it's hard to separate real physics from fiction.
