Excellent! Superb! I grant you, this sequel to the enormously popular Day of the Triffids will not garner a Noble Prize, or find itself on required reading lists in universities. Who gives a rodent's posterior? I enjoyed The Day of the Triffids - by John Wyndham, immensely. Even more now than when I finished it. I had some quibbles with the book, but it does stand up. Forget the dopey movie by the same title, which bears little resemblence to the compelling and thought provoking book. 50 years after its publication, Simon Clark took on the task of continuing the story where the first book ended. And he did a magnificent job. If you're a Clive Cussler fan you will love this. Of course, you have to read The Day of the Triffids first - but that's not exactly an unpleasant task.
Please everyone, read both immediatly and get back to me - thanks.
