excerpt from chapter one:
The only thing that borders the edges around northern Canada is frost; the Arctic; a pure island back loaded; landscaped, blocked and steep with ice. The only thing that borders the month of May is summer. June, July and August come forth bringing me heat; sun dried and faded clothes; sweat, storms lightning and rain moving slowly toward blindness as the Earth turns into darkness. September is the new winter solstice. The long aforementioned sleep; a fairness that is unbiased by knowing upon present, past and future compared to what you were when the winds of April swept me into a certain sense of calm. Yes, I knew where the exits were. And I walk with giant strides into the long hallway corridor laughing and spitting out a kaleidoscope of reflecting light.
