I just read this book and thought it was fantastic. I love how it uses blue eyes as the symbol of true beauty, and how many african americans were viewed down on by society, desired those eyes. One thing I found to be kind of peculiar was how it was broken up into seasons. Does anyone have any thoughts on why it was done this way? How is it related to the story? Was it necessary? Also any other thoughts on the book is great.
