It runs along the theme of Camelot, but its an SF book. A man hires the main character to help him out just before he has a spell that not only causes him to lose his memory but makes him younger. The only clues they have to his identity are found in a journnal made of a material that is obviosly not from Earth. From Stonehenge--which turns out to be a space port--the main character launches to the other fellows planet...or something like that. There's a .38 involved in there somewhere too.
I was sure it was a Zelazny, but I can't find it.
