Looks like we'd all better go out and buy a copy of Anna Karenina? How many here already have one on their shelves?

I know I read it many years ago -- probably in high school. I'll have a different (and deeper) understanding of it now, I'm sure.

Great books don't change, but we do -- at least one hopes so. ;)

How are you liking the Munro book?

Before I vote, I would love for someone to provide a couple of comments on Robert Rankin, whom I've never heard of.

novella, there were a quite a few comments on Robert Rankin in the Comedy section. If you do a search there, you'll find a number of posts.

Here's one link.

StillILearn, I'm a huge Alice Munro fan. So, yes, I'm enjoying Runaway very much. Her stories almost always cut straight to my heart.

Ell,
I have a question. Suppose I vote for 'Book A' and later change my mind and want to vote for 'Book B', how can I do that?
I realised I have a copy of 'Anna Karenina' and would want to vote for that. I had voted for some other book earlier, but want to change my vote now.
Cant I do that?
If this feature is not there presently, do we have plans of including it?

Once your vote is cast, you can't change it.

The system locks you out of the poll once you vote and you can only vote for one choice, unless we set the poll to allow multiple votes -- which kind of defeats the purpose of this kind of voting.

I may be wrong, but I don't think VBulletin polls have an option that allows members to change their votes (like an edit button). Darren could answer this better than me.

And the winner is:

Anna Karenina!
