When I was a little girl, I loved this book for early elementary school readers and I cannot remember the name of it. The title featured a sort of Mary Englebreit-esque illustration of a girl with braids and glasses looking kind of mope-y. It was all in pastels. At some point in the book, she is wearing overalls and I think she spills a tray with peas or spaghetti in the cafeteria.
That's not a lot to go on, but if ANYONE has any idea what this book may be and can give me some sort of lead, I would be eternally grateful!
