Your babies

Those of us that have them, love them... the big sweet eyes, the adorable little feet, the floppy fuzzy ears, I'm talking about our pets of course.
Do you have any? If so what are they like?
How long have you had them and do you like any kind of pet over another?
Feel free to show them off, after all, they're worth it aren't they?

My rabbit, Hiroshi:

He's as sweet as can be and just plain adorable. He's named after Hiroshi from the book "Chikara". I like to give him the run of my room when I can, but I have to be able to watch him. He's eaten through at least one mouse wire in his lifetime.

Sammy ^_^

Sammy is now my only cat. Sadly, my older one, zebra passed away a few months ago, so sammy's been getting a lot more attention than usual. Even though she gets into a lot of trouble(she's the devil in a cute body) she has been calming down now that she getting out of her kitten stage.

My puppy, summer

We got her back in 98, she's a beagle/shepard mix and she just sort of lays around the house, trying to mooch some food and attention from everyone when she's not in her chair looking out the window.

Sani, our sweet cockateil

She's been around for a while, and while I hand raised her from a baby, she prefers the company of my dad. She has her cage by the window, she loves the view and being able to see everyone.

Let's hear about some of your pets :)
Pictures and all if you have them..(if you don't have anywhere to upload them to, photobucket.com should work for a quick upload)

I noticed about 100 frogs in my pond today. Bloody huge frogs, too! I haven't named them yet. PS. I'm being serious

We used to have a dog, but he died three years ago. I've been begging for a new one for a few months now, but no such luck so far.

Now? I have a chihuahua who is almost 9 years old. Let's see...that's what, about 63 or so in human years. I have two cats - a torty and a Turkish Van. A tank of fishies, and a beta in his own little tank (I call it Fish TV, since the cat likes to sit and watch). I don't have anymore rodents - used to have ratties and a hamster. Used to have a lizard too. :)

Now I have two cats. A 2 3/4 y/o domestic short hair. Her name is Gracie and she is a brown tabby with white. We adopted her from the shelter when she was just a kitten, she'd been a stray. Now she spends her time sticking her butt in my face and purring while I read.

The other cat is also a DSH, named Emmie. She is a brown/red torbie. Emmie was also a stray whom we adopted from the shelter. She will be 2 y/o in September. Emmie is the one who bites my thumbs while I'm attempting to write messages on the forum.

My other cats (cats from the past) can be seen here.

We also have three fish tanks. A small one with three white tetras and three pigmy corys, a bigger one with a goldfish and a minnow, and another big one with an assortment of tetras, cories, and frogs.

I have a Maine Coon kitty, he weighs about 18 lbs. and while I'm not saying it's all muscle, he isn't fat.

He's recovering from a fungal infection in his nose. We've had to pill him 2x/day for months. I have the most interesting scars on my hands. And don't even get me started on the vet bill.

But he's great entertainment. A little catnip spray, some furry fake mice, it's better than a movie. He throws them up on the air, catches them, sits on them, looks around like he can't find them, and then leaps backwards suddenly to catch them again. Frigging hilarious.

Thats my kitty, Pharaoh :)

I have a gang of mean old bunny wabbits.

Sniper and SPG are the youngest, but the photo is a bit old and they're fully grown now, and going in to be spayed today. So I'm wearing my worried hat and will be fretting all day till we get the call from the vet that they're ok.

Then there is the mighty Chips. He's our oldest rabbit, he loves his mum, but he bites his dad. :D

Then we have Cassidy. She's the scariest rabbit in the universe and will one day kill us all. Don't let the fuzz and the innocent face lull you. This rabbit is dangerous.

Then, we have my gone but not forgottens. Daddy we got from a rescue centre at the same time as Chips. Daddy and Chips. Geddit? No. No one ever does. :( Daddy was a bit of a frightened rabbit. had a miserable life before we rescued him away, but sadly he didn't live an awfully long time.

Then there was Banzai. My first ever rabbit and the fuzziest creation in the whole wide world. If he thought he wasn't getting enough attention then he'd hop up on the sofa, pinch my book and run away with it. Or else just head butt me for a while. Again, another rabbit that loved him mum but not his dad.

I am the queen of the rabbits.

Isn't that just one of the cutest things you've ever seen. I took that. That's my dog Amy. She is 9 years old.
:D

Sorry to hear that Martin. I had to do the same with one of mine , Miriah, right before x-mas.
BTW, she wasn't named after Carrey. She was named after the song from "Paint Your Wagon".
Know what else? I miss her.

RaVeN

Martin & Raven, I'm so sorry. I lost a cat a few years ago (the one I grew up with) and I still miss her, even though I now have two cats.

The black cat in my ava is actually a pixel version of my first cat, Muffy.

I have a dog, an Alaskan Malamute (big huskie <sigh>) - just six months old who enjoys chewing anything from furniture to random people in the street!!

Will post a piccie when i get hold of one.

Phil

PS: Litany, you called your rabbit Sniper!! :D

I thought you said YOUR hobby for a minute!!

I know it gets a bit boring in Guildford on the weekends, but still, thats no reason for going round shooting random people!!

I'll watch out for any 'rabbit killing sprees' in the local Informer ;)

She normally goes for the diet people outside Clintons wanting to tell you about how much weight they lost and waggle their clip boards in your face. She hates them.

Could you ask her if she could fit a few of the Hare Krishnas that hang around on the high street into her busy schedule?? :)

Phil (who obviously apologises to any active Hare Krishnas on the Forum :) )
