I wouldn't classify Wuthering heights as Romance but it definitely is sad. Its just my opinion though. Instead of love calling it a hate story would be more appropriate. But you should definitely give it a read.
I would say Jane Austen's Work really reflect the societal Hierarchies and paradigm existing in the 80s' really well especially in the context of women and their condition.
This seem Amazing and the plot is vey Intriguing. I would also recommend putting on other publishing websites so that your work can reach better audience. I am sure it would do very well.
The Dying Earth is one of my favorite novels. Jack Vance is one of the masters of the golden age of science ficiton and this may be his greatest work (though I have not yet read them all).I really loved reading this.

I can say the best ones (in my opinion) are Hannah Rothschild , Arundhati Roy, Jacqueline Susann. There are more but i have recently read and loved the works by these three authors.

So I have recently developed a deep fascination for Historical fictions. I started reading The Dawn of freedom by Niranjan Tasneem and It was very intriguing and now I am looking for more recommendations to dive further into this genre!!<
Ah! yes Great Expectations was one that I re-read many times too. The first while we studied it for our Literature then I Read the complete novel again to Get some closure and loved it so much.
