It looks like management is playing hardball with the workers and their union at the Boston Globe. Unless the union gives in, the Times is threatening to close the paper. I find this very disheartening. Is threatening to close down entirely unfair to the negotiation give and take process? If they do, then management should not be able to benefit from one nickel from the property or assets of the Globe.
