F. Paul Wilson: The Tomb: Repairman Jack Novels

I found this old book The tomb which is a Repairman Jack novel by F. Paul Wilson. for anyone who has not read them they are series about a vigilante type guy who helps people in trouble, especially with supernatural evil forces. Anyone who likes those wizard detective stories would enjoy these. A combination of detective and horror fiction.

I am almost finsihed with this book and am very disappointed with writer. Jack gives girl .38 Smith & Wesson Chiefs Special and tells her "it is double action revolver so you have to cock it before you fire it." This is crap. It is double action and this means you DO NOT
have to cock it to fire it. That would be single action. Everyone knows this. Why doesn't this guy whose supposed to be a firearms expert? Also, the book is called The Tomb, and there is not a tomb in the whole story. If you overlook these things, it is a very entertaining though ridiculous story.

More bogus information in this book. Jack has Ruger Security Six revolver. According to this writer, it only fires six rounds. Of course it holds six. Even if guy knows nothing about guns, the "six" part of the name of this gun should give him a clue. Wilson should just stick to writing about monsters and Reoairman jack should go back to fixing washing machines.
