This is a wonderful teen girl read! It follows Janet from the beginning of summer when she finishes her GCSEs to the New Year…but she doesn’t have an easy, peaceful summer! Her mother gets a new boyfriend (who Janet can’t avoid, and comes with two free brats as a great gift for any don’t-wannabe sister!), her father wants to get back with her mother, and the Australian waiter she has a crush on wants to date her best friend, who starts acting like a totally different person!
This book is really funny, with bitter sarcasms which make you realise that everything you say about your friends and family is totally normal!
