Robert Jordan: Infinity of Heaven

What do you think of a an announcement of a new series by an author that hasn't even finished his current one? :)

I suppose I'll check it out, if this doesn't turn out to be a prank. I'm willing to wipe the slate clean and give our relationship another chance, Robert! :D

Well if it isnt a prank then I would imagine that there will be a lot of pissed off people out there who are still waiting for him to finish the Wheel of Time series :D

Thank the Creator!!! The last few Wheel of Time books were none too enjoyable, too much focus on minor characters and too many minor subplots being introduced.

I'm trying to confirm this with other sources, as I generally liek to have one mroe than source link. If and when I find one I will post another link.

I'm guessing he's planning to finish the Wheel of Time first, so finally an indicator that the end is indeed in sight people. Congratulations anyone who managed to keep with him the whole. While I've long since dropped off the WoT wagon, I'll propably check this book out whenever its released, I believe in second chances :)

Hehe a 6 book series after he finishes the wheel of time. Wasnt wot supposed to end after 6 books as well? I'll wait until its finished (never) before i think about buying one of those books.

I sure hope he finishes Wheel of Time before he starts the new one. I've been reading WOT for around 15 years now, it really needs to end! Then I'm all for another series I'll always read Robert Jordan's books.

jaycee... how do you remember all that happens in WOT while it stretches for so long? I'm beginning to forget some GRRM stuff, and will be more than happy to pick them up again.

I shudder at re-reading all of my WOT to keep up with the later books (I've stopped since the middle of book 7)... :D

This thought makes me sick - how in the world could he do that? Ahhhhh!!

I have reread the WoT series so many freakin' times, it makes me ill. The books are almost like children to me. But sheesh - after CoT, he needs to write at least two killer books to finish off all the loose ends that are floating around.

direstraits: you need to pick the brain of a sucker who rereads them ; ) I'll most likely be a sucker again before the next WoT book is released. le sigh

I see many early morning reading sessions in my future... perhaps evenings sitting on my kitchen floor (like the 2 days I wasted reading CoT all the way through to see if anything, anything at all happened - that still makes me mad)...

I will not start a new series by him though. He sucked me into WoT, but that's as far as I'm going... George R.R. Martin is next on my fantasy reading list.

So yeah, I'll be the sucker. With the 11th book coming out *supposedly* in October, I should get started soon.

I've forgotten most everything!! LOL I need to re-read but who has the time??

Fantastic! I will buy Jordan whenever he releases! I've only read up to 9 in WOT, & no prequels etc, but when they're all done, I'm locking myself away for a month to enjoy!

I have read all the W.O.T. books and thoroughly enjoyed them all except for the last several. I am anxious to see what he does to finish the series, and I do hope he quickly finishes it, as the stage is set for some great strory telling with all the interesting people involved. It would take a big effort to finish the series with one final book as there are simply too many pieces to tie together.

I think I read somewhere he is trying to finish the series with 12 books, but that it could end up being 13. Knowing Jordan (& how bad his editor is) it could end up at 14...

Did you get the World of The Wheel of Time, Self?

(now that question sounded strange)

Anyway, I got it (wife asked what present I wanted, I said this, because I thought I'd never spend my own money for this. Please, don't laugh at my logic).

I hated the character drawings, which were AWWWFUL! But it was interesting. Except now I wished they had created this book after the whole run is finished.
