I didn't give any books for Christmas this year yet. Any time my husband sees a book he wants, he buys it immediately. That makes book buying dangerous, because by the time Christmas rolls around, he's probably already bought what I was going to get him. But he got me A Lion Among Men, the third instalment in the Wicked series.

I still have to get gifts for my in-laws. I was thinking my mother-in-law might like something from the Oprah book club. Any suggestions?

The second and third books of the Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica (dragon books) for my son.

And I bought "The Great Deluge" by Douglas Brinkley for myself.

I even had Sedaris sign the copy for me . I saw him give a reading at the State Theatre this past October and he was doing a quick signing beforehand. Meeting him was definitely one of this year's highlights.
