Hey guys!
I'm looking for a book I read years ago, about a young girl who befriends an elderly lady. I remember a few things about the book, such as the girl is shocked when she discovers that the elderly lady sets the table to have dinner alone. She has a friend that she doesn't really like, who wears glittery green eye shadow and lent her a romance novel. I remember something about the girl feeling as though she wanted to have a shower after reading it (???). Also, the girl learns the word "tangible" in an English class, and cuts her legs with a bottle in a park in order to feel "tangible". This is all I can remember! Please help!
Thanks so much
