I just bought these titles, looking for non-spoiling feedback.

"Money, A Memoir: Women, Emotions, and Cash"
Liz Perle

"The Only Girl in the Car"
Kathy Dobie

"White Lines: Writers on Cocaine"
Stephen Hyde

"Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress: Tales of Growing Up Groovy and Clueless"
Susan Jane Gilman

I finished Money: A Memoir about 30 minutes ago. For me it was like looking in to another world. I found myself really amazed at the...shallowness of some of these women. However, it was read as research for a tiny zygote of a book idea I'm forming and I found it really interesting. It's a good, quick, read.

I haven't read any of these but would love to read White Lines, sounds interesting!

I'm reading the first of my new purchases "The Only Girl in the Car" and it is interesting. Nothing major happening yet, still an introduction, on page 50 so hopefully it gets into the story a little better soon.

I read in a book once about "how to write a book" that the best thing to do when writing is to write your first two or three chapters and then throw away the first chapter, the second chapter is where the story really begins. I think there are a lot of authors who should read just that one sentence of that book!
