Any Board Gamers Out There?

Apples to Apples is SO much fun! You do need four or more people, though.

I love board games. Scrabble (though I prefer Speed Scrabble, which we don't use a board for), Yahzee, Rummikub, Cranium, Beyond Balderdash,
Backgammon, and Taboo are all some of my favorites.

I love board games, too (and am not over 35 either - AND, I've always liked playing them... I grew up playing games at family-and-friends get togethers). Trivial Pursuit always seemed very, very difficult to me as a teenager, but we usually played in teams containing adults too, so it wasn't too bad. But I remember playing the 20 year old version last year, for the first time since the 'new' version was released, and my memories of its difficulty were challenged.

Never heard of most of the games mentioned on this thread, but have tried to buy non-UK available board games before at amazon.com and we're not allowed, so this thread has reminded me to try ebay.

I actually really like Monopoly, but that's because I usually win. ;)

I am really such a terrible loser it's not funny...

My favourite is Scrabble. There's a brilliant game you can play with Scrabble too, called Bananagrams, or something. You each start with 15 tiles and have to make your own linked words, getting more tiles whenever your 15 are used up. When there are no more tiles left, you add up your scores to determine a winner.

Another big favourite is Scene It.

And of course then there's chess. :D

I've always enjoyed board games too, since I was little and my Grandma started playing Scrabble with me to improve my spelling word games have been a favorite pass time. I love Scrabble, Upwards and Boggle. My husband prefers Risk and Axis & Allies, my son likes Life, Battleship, Sorry and Monopoly and we also play quite a few card and dice games.
