Sooooo now that I have your attention! ...... the few (3) of us who bravely torment challenge each other to write a short story in a week (0r two) are kind of going round in circles (but don't want to quit because its fun) issue a challenge to the rest of the forum:

A. JOIN IN! Come on! Its fun. We come up with some zanie topics and even zannier stories of anything from a paragraph (300 words) upwards. Any one can think of some kind of story!!!

B. WRITE A CHALLENGE! We need ideas!! Even if y0u REALLY don't feel up to writing anything .... or sharing what you write ...... come and see what we do with your challenges! One a week please!
 
Ok so here is to all the "I'm not a writer"s out there:

a. you don' t know until you try
b. any one can think up some kind of a story
c. its just for fun
d. it IS fun
e. why not?
 
I like the idea of using a picture from the Random Image Thread because

1. Most of the pictures are quite 'telling'.
2. In a way, this thread will be the reverse of the BAR Photography challenge wherein the topic is based on book titles.

However, instead of choosing any image, I think someone should pick one image per week. For me at least, the fun of writing stories for the weekly story challenge is to see the different story lines we have been coming up for the same topic / beginning lines, etc.

Quite simply...Time.
I am an Admin on another site.
Work, spouse, volunteer work.

I have 4 weeks of vacation time...it's almost July.
