New year resolution

psnovel

New Member
I am still deciding my New Year resolutions, haven't found anything yet. Last year I decided on writing diary everyday but the plain white pages are still accusing me of being a procrastinator. I am thinking to learn 2 foreign languages this year. Lets see how that pans out.
Have you guys made any resolution yet?

Mine is to redecorate my bedroom and read as many books as I can due to only reading roughly 6/8 books in 2013.

To buy fewer books than I read.

PS to psnovel. Try a journal, not a diary. Write when you feel like, with no blank pages to stare at you. I kept one up for many years -- clarified my thoughts and feelings.

I sure will try that dear. Is the thing is when I sit to write, I have so much to write but nothing worth to be written. I mean it sometimes really helps, makes me miss my best friend a little less who is far away but it is like a criminal leaving a hint behind such that anyone get their hands on it and honestly it happened once with my mother. I don't mind her as much as I mind everyone else prying on it.

psnovel, write electronically! :) No one can pry that way!

My resolutions have nothing at all to do with book-reading, but really to get closer to friends near and far, and to start doing the things I love more and more. More action, less words!

Well I don't believe in writing electronically. There is something so authentic, like classic to write in those journals and pieces of paper. Honestly I do write to go back in time, in those moments where technology was so distant of a concept. Human remembers more passwords than names. Well its just the way I feel.

Edit: removed blog link.

psnovel: Security can indeed be a problem for writing one's thoughts. MS Word includes a secure password capability for file protection, if you have it. Otherwise, free apps as mentioned.
Some have used shorthand (Samuel Pepys was a famous person who did), although that is only mild security against casual viewers.
Good luck on finding a comfortable method.

Thank you. Will try them out though I am not so psyched to include technology in one thing that makes me happy.
